Microsoft has announced the release of Edge 91, the latest version of its web browser, which adds shopping and performance improvements.

“This month, we’re excited to announce several new features that highlight why Microsoft Edge is the best browser for shopping,” Microsoft corporate vice president Liat Ben-Zur writes. “Along with this, we’re making Microsoft Edge the best performing browser on Windows 10 with additional improvements this month for sleeping tabs.”

New features in Microsoft Edge 91 include:

Price history. Microsoft Edge already notifies you when there are coupons available when shopping online. But now you can use a new Price history feature to see how prices have fluctuated historically to help you decide whether it makes sense to wait on a purchase. To see an item’s price history, just click on the new blue tag in the address bar.

Bing Rebates integration. When you sign-in to Microsoft Edge with your Microsoft account, you can enable Bing Rebates to save money. Then, you can shop online from Bing.com and earn cash back from over 1200 retailers, or just shop directly from over 300+ retailers to get cash back. You can also view any available Bing Rebates for your purchases via the new blue tag in the address bar.

Sleeping tabs improvements. Microsoft now claims that Edge is the best-performing browser in Windows 10, and sleeping tabs is a big part of that claim. With Edge 91, sleeping tabs have been improved with up to 82 percent RAM savings, Microsoft says, by immediately putting ads to sleep when you put tabs in the background and via internal optimizations.

New color themes. In addition to its native support for themes via the Microsoft Edge Add-Ons website, Edge 91 adds several built-in color themes that you can select from the Appearance page in settings.

Improved personalization on the New Tab page. The New Tab page now sports a Personalize feature that lets you tailor the news and headlines you see. You can click Personalize on the New Tab Page to learn more.
