Microsoft has started rolling out the February 2022 Update on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. This is a minor update that addresses the Xbox Guide lag issue that some Xbox gamers have been complaining about, but there are two other changes worth mentioning.
First of all, it’s now possible to use the Microsoft Edge browser to set any image found on the web as a custom background image. To do that, Microsoft has added a “Set as background” button to the Edge menu that appears when you press the Menu button on your Xbox Controller
After installing the February 2022 Xbox update, gamers may also notice commas in their Gamerscore. As an example, someone with a “12345” Gamerscore will now see “12,345” instead. This should help to make Gamerscores easier to read across the Xbox OS, and as one Xbox gamer pointed out on Twitter while this change was being tested with Xbox Insiders, “It only took 16 years for Microsoft to add this feature.”
That’s pretty much it for the February 2022 Xbox Update, which should install automatically on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. The update can also be installed manually by opening the Settings app and going to System > Updates.
