Samsung last night announced its Samsung Gaming Hub, which will bring NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Google Stadia, and Utomik to its Smart TVs.
“Our Samsung Smart TVs provide the ultimate entertainment destination for everyone across generations, interests, and viewing preferences,” Samsung Electronics corporate president Won-Jin Lee said. “We know that gaming continues to increase in popularity for our customers and we have bridged the gap between our Smart TV leadership and advanced gaming software to create an easier way for people to enjoy the games they love, faster. We developed the Samsung Gaming Hub with our incredible content partners to benefit all gamers, and we plan to continue our collaboration to grow the ecosystem.”
Described as a game streaming discovery platform, the Samsung Gaming Hub is an app that will run on select 2022 Samsung smart TVs with Tizen chipsets, allowing them to access game titles across multiple services. Samsung says that more services will come later, opening up the possibility that Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming will be made available in the future as well.
The Samsung Gaming Hub will also let customers access YouTube directly so that they can follow their favorite streamers. And you can choose from a variety of controllers, presumably using Bluetooth.
Samsung Gaming Hub will launch later this year.
