Xbox gamers can now start live streaming on Twitch even faster than before. The Xbox team has teamed up with Twitch to integrate the live streaming platform right into the Xbox Guide, where it now replaces Microsoft’s defunct Mixer service.

To start a live stream on Twitch, players on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S just need to open the Xbox Guide, go the “Capture and Share” tab, and select “Live streaming.” After following the steps to link their Xbox Live account to Twitch, gamers just need to select the “Go live now in the Xbox Guide to start the stream.

This new Twitch integration also allows gamers to manage game and microphone volume as well as resolution and bitrate right from the Xbox Guide. When switching to a different game, the console will also automatically update the name of the game that’s being streamed on Twitch.

Previously, Xbox gamers who wanted to stream games on Twitch had to download the Twitch app from the Microsoft Store, which remains pretty clunky to this day. In comparison, PlayStation gamers have been enjoying built-in Twitch and YouTube live streaming since the PlayStation 4 era, and it was really time for the Xbox team to catch up.

“Make sure to check out future updates, we have some awesome new features coming soon based on your feedback,” the Xbox team said today.
