The latest version of the Vivaldi web browser adds a Reading List to the sidebar and offers blocked tracker and advertising statistics.
“Exactly 6 years ago, we launched the first version of Vivaldi,” co-founder and CEO Jon von Tetzchner writes. “We started out building a browser that will adapt to your needs. And we’ve stuck to it. Over the years, we’ve created a wealth of built-in features that you won’t find in many, if any, other browsers. We thrive on giving you options, so you’re never more than a click or keyboard shortcut away from what you’re trying to accomplish. And this latest version stays true to our roots.”
Vivaldi 5.2 for desktop adds two major new features. There’s a new Reading List panel in the browser’s sidebar that syncs to the Android version of the app. And there’s a new Privacy Statistics bar on the Vivaldi start page that displays information about the number of trackers and ads that Vivaldi has blocked.
You can download Vivaldi 5.2 for Windows, Mac, and Linux from the Vivaldi website. The Android version is available in the Google Play Store.
